Another energy company allowed to build wind farm in Bingham County
Less than 24 hours after they unanimously approved a wind farm in Wolverine Canyon, Bingham County Commissioners gave the go-ahead for another wind farm to be built just three miles away.
Bingham County Planning and Zoning Commission denied a special use permit for Western Energy Corporation in May.

Less than 24 hours after they unanimously approved a wind farm in Wolverine Canyon, Bingham County Commissioners gave the go-ahead for another wind farm to be built just three miles away.
Bingham County Planning and Zoning Commission denied a special use permit for Western Energy Corporation in May. Officials with the company appealed to the Bingham County Commissioners today who overturned the decision by Planning and Zoning.
Western Energy Corporation will now be allowed to build 66 wind turbines near Shelley, unless someone files an appeal with the courts.
