The board was slated to vote on the law last month but tabled it for further review, primarily based on a guideline that would have allowed a 10-decibel sound increase at a neighbor's property line.
Some residents said that would be too loud. The new law calls for no more than an eight-decibel increase.
The board is also slated to consider a resolution on the Water Resources Council/Cornell University Cayuga Lake Monitoring Plan.
Supervisor Herb Engman said the resolution praises the partnership for pulling together researchers and for outlining existing monitoring. It also calls for Cornell to continue all of its state-mandated lake source cooling monitoring, he said.
Engman has been a vocal critic of the plan's proposal to reduce lake source cooling monitoring to fund other lake and watershed research.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday, July 7 in Town Hall, 215 N. Tioga St. There is time scheduled for public comment.
