Westar to break ground on latest wind project
Officials from Westar Energy and Renewable Energy Systems Americas will hold a ground-breaking ceremony at its Central Plains Wind Farm site in Wichita County.
The site is expected to go online by the end of the year.

Officials from Westar Energy and Renewable Energy Systems Americas will hold a ground-breaking ceremony at its Central Plains Wind Farm site in Wichita County.
The site is expected to go online by the end of the year. It is a 99-megawatt project.
This is the third wind farm Westar is investing in. It also is involved in projects in Cloud County and Barber County.
