Commissioners were supposed to approve allocation of the fees June 9, but a decision was tabled until Glacier County attorney Larry Epstein could attend the meeting, according to the Cut Bank Pioneer Press.
As of Tuesday afternoon, commissioners had not decided what to do with the money they received from Naturener USA, the company developing the 300-megawatt farm.
The county is set to receive more than $578,000 in fees over three years. The county will receive $188,943 this year, $192,722 next year and $196,618 in 2010.
State law requires a portion of the fee to be paid to the school district closest to the project. Commissioners have said they will earmark funds for schools, but also are considering giving money to the Cut Bank Education Foundation and Alumni Association for a scholarship.
