Community Energy seeks rules change for 'clean energy'
The company behind a proposal to build 12 windmills atop Lempster Mountain has called for a change in the way the state deals with smaller, ³green energy² sources like electricity-generating windmills.

Jeff Keeler of Community Energy Inc. was in Concord Jan. 17 to testify before the House Science, Technology and Energy Committee on a new bill that could lead to a state policy on wind power.
The bill, House Bill 1568, proposes forming a legislative study committee to examine the pros and cons of wind power and submit a report this November. Keeler said in a phone interview late last week that he would like to see the committee recommend ‘streamlining’ the approval process for small projects like the proposed Lempster Mountain wind farm.
