Wind farm meets fresh resistance - Ogle County landowner sues to stop development
FREEPORT - A federal lawsuit seeking to stop development of a $90 million wind turbine farm north of Leaf River has been filed against about two dozen defendants in United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois in Rockford.

FREEPORT - A federal lawsuit seeking to stop development of a $90 million wind turbine farm north of Leaf River has been filed against about two dozen defendants in United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois in Rockford.
The suit cites nine alleged violations of defendants' rights including due process, equal protection, trespass and public nuisance, and was filed by local landowner Patricia Muscurello on Monday.
No dollar amount has been set in the lawsuit.
