Committee approves commercial wind farm in Lempster
LEMPSTER, N.H. --New Hampshire is a step closer to getting its first commercial wind farm.
A 14-member committee representing environmental, forest, economic development, health utility and other interests, approved the project in Lempster on Thursday.

LEMPSTER, N.H. --New Hampshire is a step closer to getting its first commercial wind farm.
A 14-member committee representing environmental, forest, economic development, health utility and other interests, approved the project in Lempster on Thursday.
The Lempster Mountain Wind Farm would be built and owned by Iberdrola Renewable Energies USA and feature 12 wind turbines, each providing 2 megawatts of electricity generating capacity. Iberdrola is the world's largest owner and operator of wind power facilities.
The turbines will be sited on privately-owned land on Lempster Mountain in Sullivan County, about 10 miles south of Newport and 20 miles north of Keene. The new... [continue via Web link]
