Acoustics expert, Mr. Richard James, filed these comments on behalf of the Protect Our Communities Foundation and Backcountry against Dumps, Inc. as part of their public comments on the BLM EIS/EIR for the proposed Imperial County, Ocotillo Wind Energy Facility. Mr. James' testimony details the major problems with Cadna/SoundPlan and other commercial noise modeling software products based on the ISO 9613-2 noise modeling standard.

Jane Davis of the UK tracked problems with noise from a wind farm located 930 meters from her home. She and her family have since abandoned their home due to health issues related to the noise.

As an intervenor in the Maryland Public Service Commission case (No. 9008) regarding Synergics Wind Energy, LLC's request for a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity to build a 42.5 MW wind facility in Garrett County, Maryland, Jon Boone was presented with three sets of interrogatories from the applicant--Synergics Data Requests 1, 2, 3-- as well as an interrogatory from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources--DNR Data Request 1.
