by Richard R. James

Mr. James' testimony details the major problems with Cadna/SoundPlan and other commercial noise modeling software products based on the ISO 9613-2 noise modeling standard.
Jane Davis of the UK tracked problems with noise from a wind farm located 930 meters from her home. Her daily log, accessed by clicking on the link below, covers the period from summer 2006 to summer 2007. She and her family have since abandoned their home due to health issues related to the noise.

Jon Boone's Response to Maryland's Dept. of Natural Resources' Data Request
September 2, 2005
by Jon Boone
Jon Boone's responses to Maryland's Dept. of Natural Resources' request for data regarding his opposition to the proposed Roth Rock wind plant.
Jon Boone's responses to Synergics's requests for data are available in the NWW library as are his direct testimony before the Maryland Public Service Commission and the 'brief' he submitted to the PSC.
As an intervenor in the Maryland Public Service Commission case (No. 9008) regarding Synergics Wind Energy, LLC's request for a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity to build a 42.5 MW wind facility in Garrett County, Maryland, Jon Boone was presented with three sets of interrogatories from the applicant--Synergics Data Requests 1, 2, 3-- as well as an interrogatory from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources--DNR Data Request 1. Since the responses to these various interrogatories reveal much information about sources and a basic approach to questions about the wind industry, NWW is pleased to be able to make them available to the public.
This letter describes a serious incident involving an aerial spray plane that clipped the top of an unmarked 198-foot meteorological tower.
