The Town of Litchfield, New York adopted this comprehensive wind energy ordinance including detailed finding of fact to substantiate the siting standards codified in the law.

Wind developer, Wind Capital Group, together with the Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters (IKORCC) are pressing union members to defeat a modest 1,500 foot setback distance now under consideration in Whitley County, Indiana. The purpose of this Ordinance is to protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the residents and property owners of Caratunk by establishing reasonable and uniform regulations for Wind Energy Facilities (WEFs).

The Victoria Planning Provisions are undergoing amendments to account for wind energy development. Several key elements of the amendments are posted below. The town of Eastbrook, Maine adopted this wind ordinance to protect its residents from noise, shadow flicker and other impacts produced by operating wind energy facilities.

On September 21, 2010, the Lee County Board in Lee County Illinois adopted this moratorium on wind farm applications until the ordinance governing wind development could be updated.
