The below e-mail exchange provides insight into the possible impacts to endangered species, including Sea Turtles, should FPL win approval to erect six utility-scale turbines on Hutchinson Island, a barrier island off the coast of Florida. Mr. DeWayne Wilkie of Jefferson County, NY was seen by a cardiologist in March 2008. Dr. Carroll Moody assessed Mr. Wilkie's health and from a cardiovascular standpoint, declared Mr. Wilkie 'stable'. Dr. Moody also includes information in the report on how wind turbine noise might affect the pace maker inserted in Mr. Wilkie's chest.
Internal FPL communications on risks of building wind turbines near a nuclear facility

These internal FPL employee meeting communications were anonymously released to the St. Lucie County Attorney Dan McIntyre. The documents show clear knowledge that FPL was aware of potential risks to their nuclear power plant if the company proceeded with a wind energy facility nearby.
