An injured worker from the wind farms off Clacton has been taken to hospital after falling through a hatch on a tug boat.
The 24-year-old German man was hurt while working aboard the vessel Arion which transports equipment out to the wind farms.

Keadby wind farm developers Renewable Energy Solutions (RES) have vowed to fight for a place to route their controversial turbine traffic by promoting two public exhibitions.
RES had their original plans to route traffic through Ealand, Eastoft and Swinefleet rejected by North Lincolnshire Council in July, after a wave of opposition from residents.

The MP for Mid Worcestershire has called for a ban on commercial wind turbines being constructed within a kilometre of people's homes. Peter Luff said proposals for a wind farm close to Bishampton, near Pershore, would see some turbines located little more than 600 metres away from houses.

A controversial windfarm which has hung over a fenland community for over three years appears to have blown away after developers opted to withdraw the proposal.
The decision by Scottish Power Renewables came late last week having already cancelled an informal meeting with planners to present their case alongside objectors.

Controversial plans for a wind farm near Pontefract could be rejected following complaints from an RAF base.
The YEP understands RAF Linton-upon-Ouse has objected to the scheme to put up turbines on land off Westfield Lane, Pontefract.
The scheme was rejected by Wakefield planners but is now being decided by a planning inspector after an appeal by energy firm Banks Renewables.

Planning officers at two district councils have recommended that a controversial application for a wind farm on the edge of the Peak District should not be given the go-ahead.
Already, almost 1,500 individuals and numerous organisations have submitted representations to North East Derbyshire and Derbyshire Dales district councils regarding the application for five 126m-tall wind turbines on Matlock Moor.

Families fighting plans to erect four giant wind turbines in their rural Northumberland community have taken their protest campaign into the skies.
They are flying a large orange blimp at a height of 101 metres above the proposed site of the wind farm near Morpeth in a bid to show local people and council planners the likely impact of the installation on the landscape and homes.

Campaigners have won a first-round battle against plans to build six gigantic wind turbines.
Scottish Power Renewables has withdrawn a planning appli-cation for the 410ft machines at Neslam Farm, Sempringham Fen after objections from villagers and the Ministry of Defence.
The MoD said the turbines would interfere with radar systems at RAF Cranwell and RAF Cottesmore.

A controversial windfarm on the border of Stockton and Hambleton has hit another hurdle.
Yesterday, Hambleton District Council refused an application for two 125m wind turbines near the villages of Hilton and Seamer.
The decision comes two months after neighbouring planning authority Stockton approved three turbines for the same scheme.

Residents protesting against plans for a wind farm near Dumsurn say they are alarmed by results from a recent report which claims living close to turbines can lead to a greater risk of several health problems.

BP is expanding its wind power electricity generation capacity in the United States but is shedding an Indian unit, which has been sold to Green Infra Limited of India.
BP said Green Infra Limited purchased its subsidiary, BP Energy India Private Limited, for a total cash-free, debt-free enterprise value of about $95 million.

Free satellite dishes have been offered to an entire village next to a windfarm because the turbines are disrupting their television viewing. Villagers in Gransmoor started experiencing problems with their television signal shortly after 12 windturbines, which stand 125 metres tall including their blades, were put up at Lissett Airfield.
Novera Energy informed villagers before the development they could experience some disruption to the signal and that the firm was happy to install a Free-Sat System to every household experiencing problems.
