Regarding the article "We need wind power to fight global warming" (June 12), I've never heard such baloney in all my life.
Electricity generation, with its associated production of carbon dioxide, is just a tiny part of the "so-called" problem with climate change.
If you covered the whole of the USA in wind turbines, it would not make the slightest difference.
Wind power is so intermittent that none of the fossil-fueled power generation could be closed down, therefore negating any hypothetical savings.
Wind power is the biggest "scam" since the South Sea Bubble, and it is time the people of America woke up to it.
Wind turbines generate much more cash than they do electricity.
