Eleven possible routes for a new high-voltage power line proposed to link substations in Lampasas and Gillespie counties have been filed with the Public Utility Commission by LCRA Transmission Services Corporation. The PUC has 181 days from the LCRA's filing on Wednesday to pick a route, she said.

Potentially affected landowners have 30 days to intervene in the proceeding, PUC Docket No. 37448.

The line is part of a larger $4.9 billion project planned to convey power produced by wind generators in West Texas and the Panhandle, called Competitive Renewable Energy Zones (CREZ), to areas of high energy demand across the state.
