Shares in Spain's Gamesa (GAM.MC) drop 5.8 percent on uncertainty after its chairman resigned late on Thursday, with concerns over regulation for the Spanish renewable energy sector also weighing on sentiment.
"Gamesa is suffering from double uncertainty because of sector regulation and its chairman's resignation. The market is starting to speculate with a poor business outlook," an industry analyst says.
Gamesa unexpectedly announced the resignation of Guillermo Ulacia late on Thursday and the appointment of banker Jorge Calvet as new chairman.
