Their condition is described as stable.
 
The two men were working on a wind monitoring tower at Studland Bay when the accident happened on Thursday morning.
 
Managing director of the Roaring 40's Energy Company, Mark Kelleher, says it appears all safety procedures were followed.
 
Mr Kelleher says it would not be appropriate to speculate on the cause of the accident, which is currently being investigated by Tasmanian authorities.
 
"We do understand that our initial feedback has been that our procedures met all the requirements but we need to understand what has happened," he said.
 
"We really need to wait for the outcome of the investigation before we are able to understand that any further."
